About Me.
Ben Kaplan loves to do it all! With a bachelor's degree in Theater from UMass Amherst, Ben moved to NYC in the Fall of 2025 to pursue acting and comedy professionally. Recently, Ben was in the Argyle Theater's record-breaking production of Disney's Descendants, Gutenberg! The Musical! at UMass Amherst, and he opened for Ben Schwartz, Tiffany Haddish, Roy Wood Jr., and Jimmy Yang with his stand-up comedy. When not on the stage, Ben works as a freelance video producer and editor, in addition to being a photographer and musician.

Stand up Comedy Debut
Crazy story, my first time ever doing stand-up was in front of 2000 people. I was opening for Ben Schwartz, Tiffany Haddish, Roy Wood Jr., and Jimmy Yang. I was totally nervous until Ben Schwartz invited me to his dressing room to talk movies and theater, and once it was time to go on, I had totally dropped my nerves and all my jokes landed! Meet your heroes!

Moved to New York
When it all started. NYC is truly a playground when you have creative dreams. Since moving, I've been so lucky to be a part of so many theatrical and comedy shows and have met so many incredible people along the way.

Only a few months into living in New York, I made my professional acting debut as an on-stage swing in Disney's Descendants at the Argyle Theater in Babylon, Long Island
